I ran a deep research less than two hours ago, using the updated version of deep research (not the legacy model), and just like last week, it generated the plan, I started the search, but it stopped right at the beginning. It wasn’t corrected for me. (Brazilian user as well). I’ve also already spent numerous search credits.

ChatGPT plus, same here it says rate limit has reached where as I paid just recently for subscription haven’t used even once since the day I paid.

It is not fixed. Please handle this with attention, Pro susbscription without accessing to Deep Research is not so Pro
The same issue reported by other users, also Brazilian. I’ve used the Deep Research tools a few times last year (2025), but this year, every time I try to use them, problems keep coming up. At first, it would even confirm some research points before starting, and a progress bar would appear showing the research progress. Now it just starts and doesn’t load anything at all. I’ve already tried on mobile, I’ve tried Firefox, I’ve tried Chrome, I’ve cleared the cache, and it simply doesn’t work—it’s been like this for weeks.
I have the same problem as you; mine is also stuck. I haven’t been able to do any research for over 5 days. I’m a Plus user. Is there any solution? Also, nothing appears in the OpenAI status.
The team asked me to help reproduce the issue. During testing I encountered two different behaviors. Sometimes the process ended with “Research failed,” and other times the job appeared to be stuck.
I checked again tonight and the jobs that previously looked stuck had actually finished.

No, it not finished. Did you test from South America? Try using a VPN or so, because it has the exact same behavior for the last week until now. I just tested.
Please, fix this.
My PRO subscription does not worth if this don’t work. Don’t like to be this guy but, if this does not work, will shift my $200 to Anthropic

Agent mode consistently gets stuck on “thinking” without executing any tools. This happens both in the desktop app and the web interface, even with trivial prompts. Each attempt still deducts agent credits. My available agents dropped from the full quota to 32 due to these failed executions. Please investigate and restore the consumed credits.
