Chat History Not Loading for My Account

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering a problem with my account where the chat history won’t load. I keep getting the “Unable to load history” message along with a “Retry” button, but it doesn’t fix the issue.

Here’s what I’ve observed:

  • The issue is specific to my account and happens on all browsers and devices I’ve tried.
  • Other accounts work fine on the same browsers and devices.
  • I’ve already tried clearing cookies, cache, using incognito mode, and switching browsers, but the issue persists.

I’ve also reached out to OpenAI Support, but I wanted to check if anyone here has experienced a similar issue and found a solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am also experienceing the same issue and I am asking for support as well. If you have any solutions can you plz share after you solve the problem?

I have the same issue.
When I export the data, the one which is failing to load is still there.

Tried it on another device as well, but the most recent one is not loading, ever since the hiccups from the last hours.

Yep, same thing here, using Chrome. Installed the new stupid Chrome App Extension, then removed it, which may have been the problem ? Deleted cache, restarted etc etc. Can see history on Phone App, but not on my 2x laptops… Any solutions ?

Guys I don’t know why but when I arrived home from school, my Chatgpt’s history shows again. Maybe you guys can try with another wifi

I also faced the same problem. the entire history of my created projects has disappeared. I’m writing to tech support, but it’s still quiet.

I have same issue, all of my chat GPT history are unable to load and unable to load the projects as well. The tech team told me to try clear the browser caches. It is not working. I did install new chrome browser, but it still have same issue.

same problem, I can’t load history and this has been going on since yesterday afternoon. What should we do? Just wait?

Having the same issues, My paid account is not loading but my free accounts all their history is there

Update:
the best solution would be to email Open AI Support team. I did I after trying all possible things I can. It is now resolved within a few hours

thank you for the update. Did you do anything specific that helped you solve the issue or did you just wait for OpenAI to fix it?

Mine has fixed itself apparently.
I didn’t do anything special, I just waited.

But before I came here, I did log out, cleared the cache and then exported the Data.
I don’t know if that helped anything, other than that I just waited it out.

Update:
Yep, mein resolved itself after a few hours. : / Only cleared the cached on 1 laptop, and now both laptops are showing history again. Had email ChatGPT support, but no reply?
