That’s wishful thinking, but OpenAI support staff cannot change the authentication method used for an account. https://help.openai.com/en/articles/4936824-can-i-change-my-authentication-method

that’s why the is a pretty reasonable feature request. OpenAI does not allow users to change the authentication method used for an account, but that does’t mean they cannot do it.

This is not an acceptable solution.

My answer from two years ago which you reply to: OpenAI hasn’t changed anything. They only changed the help link to be less helpful - in not stating essentially “be sure to use a phone number and email that you will control for the rest of your life”.
