Hi, I just solved this issue by doing the following:
Go to System Settings → Network → Wifi → Details → DNS
And then I removed the address that is different than my router’s default address.
I just tried this. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.
same cureless issue over here . i wonder if this error might be related with m1 though? anybody currently in us, has an up-to-date and m1+ mac and still getting this problem? i think the best way to close this deal will be to email the support team together.
same issue for me. I’ve tried every “solution” I’ve found on the web so far, with no luck. Every update I excitedly try again.
There was another thread on this topic that was closed by a Leader for some bizarre reason, without resolution or update of any sort. I hope they don’t do the same with this one.
Same issue, sign in failed.
This problem must be solved immediately!!!
Something went wrong. Please make sure your device’s date and time are set properly. Check that your internet connection is stable, then restart the app and try again. (code:AB779CD1-5915-497A-AC01-A3A9042FEEEE,API.DeviceCheckError,2)
I’m on macOS 15 Beta (Sequoia) and was facing issues with getting iPhone Mirroring to work. I managed to resolve the issue after I switched off Private Relay in Settings → iCloud+
After that, I thought I’d give the ChatGPT app a shot as well, and lo and behold, it was working all of a sudden!
I hope this helps everyone else here as well.
I have installed the ChatGPT app on two MacBook Pros (a M1, and a M1 Pro). Log in was successful on the first Mac, but on the second I’m getting the “Something went wrong” error. As far as I can tell, both computers are configured the same, with both using macOS 14 Sonoma. This is really very weird! Why did it work on the first and fail on the second!?
Hey, anyone found a solution to this? Please help.
For me this issue seems to be resolved with v1.2024.227.
Alguém conseguiu resolver? Mesmo problema
I HAVE FOUND A FIX FOR ALL MACOS USERS!
- Turn on two factor Google Authentication for your ChatGPT OpenAI account.
- SIGN OUT of your Apple ID/Account on your Mac.
- Log into ChatGPT. This should fix the issue and log you in without a problem,
- Sign back into your Apple ID/Account & enjoy!.
I had been losing my mind over this bullshit for months and months. I’m so glad I have finally gotten over this obstacle, I hope this method works for all of you too, GOOD LUCK!
Doesn’t work for me, but thanks. Did you change anything else?
finally it started working for me after updating to macOS 15
disable icloud private relay and any other vpn firewall
I did all the above recommended solutions. (Dont have private relay, the DNS) Still nothing. I have the latest macOS, the latest chatGPT app. I dont know what else to try.
I have a computer purchased from Greece, and I live in the NL if it helps you provide any advice.
