I am having trouble using the GPT-4 API on Anaconda with Open Interpreter. I have the plus membership and I have followed the instructions to install and use Open Interpreter on Anaconda. However, whenever I try to run `$ interpreter` on the Anaconda prompt, I get an error message saying that the model `gpt-4` does not exist or I do not have access to it.
I have tried deleting the cache, restarting my network, and creating new API keys, but nothing seems to work. I have checked my account settings and I can see that I have access to the `gpt-4` model. I can also use the GPT-4 API on other platforms, such as the playground or the chat completions.
Can anyone please help me with this issue? Is there something wrong with my configuration or installation? How can I fix this problem and use the GPT-4 API on Anaconda with Open Interpreter?

That does not help, how can i have access to API? Open AI is charging me $20 every month. Why does it not give me access to the API? i have clicked on every payment method and it does not show me a way to have prepaid or to add credits to my account to access API. Please help it has been a week and nobody helps or explains to me how to fix my issue. Open AI support does not even reply…

This is the access portal to an API account and its payment systems.
API usage is charged by the amount of data used - the tokens sent and received by queries to the AI models. OpenAI can charge high-volume companies $20 per hour.
You may have an API free trial credit if you created your OpenAI account recently (trials expire). However, access to purchase gpt-4 services and use higher rate limits is only enabled after purchasing additional account credits.
ChatGPT does not offer any API credits or entitlements. It is a separate end-user product. You already have upgraded to ChatGPT plus with your $20 subscription, which besides upgrading to a gpt-4 powered chatbot, gives you plugins, advanced data analysis code interpretation, beta features, …

I created my account a while back and was Beta Tester, I believe my account has a bug as I do not see on my account a way to purchase credits. Do I have to create a new account to have access to the API feature? Trust me I have CLICKED EVERYTHING, and searched everywhere for help, even asked Bing GPT4 and no help with this issue. I come here and I get the same answer of what I have been doing. There is a bug on my account.
I have read something about sometimes you need to delete the account and open a new one to get that option (but also that people having problems using their phone number again after deleting).
But first:
Did you add a payment method?
You never would want to delete an OpenAI account. Doing so means you can never use that phone number again to create another account.
If you are on a monthly payment plan, that actually is desirable and convenient. That is what is displayed in the screenshot above, a pay-as-you-go (post-paid billing) legacy account, where a credit card has already been entered.
A pay as you go plan can be made eligible for gpt-4 access by actually incurring billing to the card after the end of the month from use (OpenAI currently doesn’t bill for small balances, like under a dollar). After then being seen as a paid user, you will likely get access shortly after.
One can “cancel payment plan”, and then you’ll likely be only offered the ability to buy pre-paid credits, of $5-$50. Once doing so, there is no going back.

GPT-4 Please create a python code I can give Open AI team to fix this bug and issue. 
i have not been able to get access to the api, this is so frustrating. i had to create a new damn account to setup payment and now everytime i try and put the payment info the damn website closes out and closes all my tabs. this damn company needs to fix their bugs and issues. also the support team is trash, i never seen a company not have clear explanations or have a ticket open for over 7 days until they can reply to you. please do your job! you have a whole ai to facilitate it and still trash. i need api access now! this is so stupid, i used to be able to use api with only my account with the monthly membership but this is all full of bugs now and nobody is helpful.
I sympathize with your frustration, however despite my informative tone, I am not an OpenAI employee.
Indeed there have been significant challenges both in web site performance of ChatGPT, and in the new payment system for API use.
We need to clarify where you are having issues. I’ll talk about the API for developing your own programs.
The API is a separate system with separate billing (nothing to do with a $20/mo ChatGPT subscription), and only your first account would have gotten a trial grant of $5 to use it, which expires after three months.

Does it say the exact words “You’ll be billed at the end of each calendar month for usage during that month”? If not, you don’t have an existing older style payment plan.

Does it say you have a credit balance of $0.00? Does it say “Start Payment Plan?” on a button? Then you will need to start a payment plan, enter in details of a credit card, and purchase credits before you can pay for the API use with those credits.
If you find you have problems paying, you can try a different web browser, or wait a while if the credit card service is having issues.
