Bug: Can't enable Memory — Reference chat history disappears

I’m trying to enable the new Memory feature in ChatGPT settings, but when I toggle “Reference saved memories,” the “Reference chat history” option disappears completely, and the memory never actually turns on.

I’ve tried refreshing and using different browsers. Still no luck. Attached is a screenshot for reference.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is this a known issue?
