Hi everyone,
I’m facing an issue with OpenAI’s autopay / auto-recharge for API credits and wanted to check if others have experienced something similar.
I have a credit card set up for autopay, and generally it works fine. However, when the auto-recharge gets triggered multiple times within a short time window, the payments start failing.
Typical pattern:

The first 2–3 auto-recharges work successfully

These usually happen within 1–2 hours

After that, the subsequent auto-recharge fails

At that point, I have to manually recharge, which works perfectly with the same card

After the manual recharge, I need to re-enable autopay again
This has been happening consistently for the past ~2 months.
A few additional details:

The same credit card works fine for manual payments

There are no issues with the card limit or bank

The failure seems specifically related to multiple auto-charges in quick succession
Has anyone else run into this issue?
If so, did you find a workaround or identify the cause?
