API Billing Caculation question

I recharged my billing account with 99.99 yesterday, and today only 93.67 remains, even though my user usage shows only 1.2 spent. The account was overcharged. Also, the day before yesterday, despite the usage being only 0.7, it consumed the entire 30 in my account. (October 16,17)

Abnormal transaction history for the user. At the same time, there was a similar issue on October 16, but the changes were not recorded, resulting in an approximate loss of $30. Although this amount might seem small, it is significant for students who need to use GPT-3.5 Turbo for experiments.

There have been usage and billing problems exactly like you describe for many accounts, going on nearly a week.

Account issues cannot be resolved on the forum.

I would contact “help” through your platform account, navigate through the question tree until you can send a message, and if you will not be using the $100 autocharged, demand that charge be reversed (if you are sure that your bank card can receive a refund).

Then the same for any charges that don’t have a credit line item showing under “organization overview” → usage. https://platform.openai.com/organization/usage

Then turn off auto recharge.

Then assure yourself that payments remaining seem to reconcile with usage.

One should not have to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous taking of fortunes to use the API.
