Adding card to billing fails with message "Missing required parameter: 'auto_recharge_enabled'", but card is still added

Minor bug with the billing section.

I needed to update my previously expired credit card on file in order to add more credits.

I went to my account, billing, payment methods, and deleted the old card, so I had no payment methods.

I added a card and typed in my card information correctly, and also got a $0 verification charge sent to my card, but the form did not close, with the error message in a pop-up: “Missing required parameter: ‘auto_recharge_enabled’” in the image below. Trying to add again gave the same error message.

When the page was refreshed, the card was added as many times as I clicked the button, so it was actually succeeding, but the form was not showing as such.

This was done on Firefox 144.0.2 (64-bit), on https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/billing/payment-methods.

Edit: I also cannot enable auto recharge, with the error message “Missing required parameter: ‘billing_mechanism’”.

I would add a second image, but new users can only embed one image per post.

Please contact everyone through http://help.openai.com/ to see if someone notices and fixes this. I have everything paused because I’ve run out of credit…

Having the same issue. I get:

Missing required parameter: ‘auto_recharge_enabled’. or ‘Card Declined’

Tried with 3 cards, same issue.
