I built a GPT last month, and it’s been actively used by many people. However, they can’t seem to find it in the search results anymore. I’m wondering, if the GPT store ranks all GPTs by the number of chats or the quality of chats, shouldn’t mine be listed?

There was another person here with the same problem, a GPT created in November was unsearchable (and you kind of need a second Plus account that will tell you it is not found due to the inclusion of “most recent used” GPTs in the search).
Since there’s likely no support that can individually discover and tweak whatever database entry is not working in the backend for your account, I’d recommend a duplicate GPT created just for searching and see if it appears again after whatever indexing might need to happen.
