I’m having quite a challenging time to get support for this error. It’s been over a week and I keep getting asked the same questions over and over with no resolution… My hope is someone on the forum might be able to help.. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I’m logged in to both ChatGPT and OpenAI with the same account:
When I create a tunnel it works if I use the default Org ID(openAI) and leave the workspace ID blank, but I can’t use the tunnel in a chatGPT app(no tunels available). I understand the issue is the tunnel needs to be associated with the ChatGPT workspace.
If I attempt to create the tunnel with the default Org ID(openAI) and the chatGPT workspace ID or if I try to create the tunnel with the ChatGPT Org ID and workspace ID I get the following error: “We couldn’t automatically verify the association between these workspaces and organizations. Contact Support to review the association before creating this tunnel.”
I’ve read the documentation support provided which seems to say if you get the error I’m seeing contact support: Secure MCP Tunnel(sorry won’t let me post a link)
“If your enterprise setup can’t be verified automatically, such as when the Platform organization has no corresponding ChatGPT workspace, contact your OpenAI account team to request a reviewed manual association override for the enterprise account mapping that should use the tunnel.”
I’ve also provided support the HAR file. Here is what I see in the HAR file in terms of the error.
“text”: “{\n “error”: {\n “message”: “We couldn’t automatically verify the association between these workspaces and organizations. Contact Support to review the association before creating this tunnel.”,\n “type”: “invalid_request_error”,\n “param”: null,\n “code”: “tunnel_principal_association_unverified”\n }\n}”
This seems to be a common issue on this forum recently, and the only resolution I’ve seen so far is when support associated the customers ChatGPT and OpenAI Org/workspace from what I understand… So it seems this is something support needs to fix?
PS support asked me to logout and in, and to test in incognito mode but there was no change.
Unfortunately support has stopped responding… So hoping people on the forum can help, otherwise we’ll like have no option but to move to another LLM…
I’m a bit confused as creating a secure tunnel is extremely easy (name it, give org id, give workspace id). Has anyone been able to get this working recently(wondering if it’s broken or if I am doing something wrong)?
I think I have the same problem. Did you get it resolved?
In ChatGPT I have two id’s (organisation and workspace) and on https://platform.openai.com I have a different ID but both in ChatGPT and OpenAI Platform logged in with same email/account but I can’t pick my workspace in the workspace picker. It seems that these two accounts, even though they are the same, are somehow not connected.
I also tried to contact the support, but going back and forwards the last answer was that currently there are problems in general with ChatGPT. And it’s true that yesterday and today there were some degraded issues. But still I’m not convinced that it was due to that, but something else might be going on. I first started with ChatGPT plus and then went for the business workspace account and maybe it’s because of that.
I hope it worked out for you, so I’m curious if you got more help from the support.
No, support kind of gave me the run around asking for the same information over and over for about a week and last week they stopped responding… Its such a simple process I can’t image we couldn’t get it figured out if I am doing something wrong or if there is a bug in a 15 minutes screen share, but unfortunately support has stopped responding to me…
If others are having this same issue please chime in so we can hopefully get technical supports attention. My plan is to move to a new LLM if they ghost me for another week…
There is another thread/post worth following. Maybe you can also just briefly mention that you are still having problems and paste your link from this post there too.
By the way do you remember the name of the person who was handling your case? Was it Nor…?
No, I don’t want to spread bad news online but they just stopped responding… Not trying to bad mouth them, just trying to find a solution to our problem. Has anyone else setup a openAI tunnel for use in a chatGPT workspace app?
Hopefully the support person that was on here might be able to get some traction internally as I shared my case number with him…
