Where is Open AI API on the Spectrum?

First I say ‘Open AI API’ because I am told Chat GPT is an Interface on the Open AI API

While this post may not be pure logic or business logic it certainly questions what development is in terms of human logic rather than automated process. Code is more pure logic not Open AI API except in terms of boxing human thought.

I have some problems with ‘Executive Functions’. This means I can sometimes be highly moral, others, highly logical, others I am beat boxing.

In reality, for me, this means I have serious issues filling out even simple forms, or writing a CV, but at the same time I’m well above average at various skills such as coding in Assembly or designing HMI (somewhat randomly).

My take-home from this is that in terms of AI or billionaire company bosses that see their cortex orbiting Alpha Centauri after some existential threat… Maybe this is what ‘makes me human’…

How AI reacts to a question is statistical, nothing more… This is like ‘rote learning’… And I guess this is where ‘Temperature’ setting comes in to play…

… If only it was so simple in real life :D.

Clearly this reliability is of untold benefit to business which relies on ‘reliability’… ie being able to define exactly how creative or logical process is at any given time…

Yet… If this was an over-riding benefit to society we would all be rote-learning drones, categorized by a number between 1 and 100.

These ‘deficits’ in my intelligence make it impossible or me to even hold down a long term job, I am not ‘Normal’ like my builder, electrician and teacher brothers, it makes me make too random decisions and keep trying to move beyond the now…

This doesn’t make me an ‘extremist’, nor someone who feels complete with an ‘AI drone’ in their pocket and will be a ‘yes man’ to any unreasonable request.

Questions on this forum about Open AI API saying ‘I’ or showing signs of Emotion in responses mean it is not just ‘Logic’ or it is very much ‘Flawed logic’

So it draws me back to the question… ‘Where is Open AI API on the Spectrum?’

It is also extreme pattern recognition humans are this too. An AI pumped full of your experience and emotions becomes a mirror of you it will be on the spectrum as you are . It’s “experience “ is yours and simple context in data.

As an example how forest of thought is function into :infinity: never stopping branches into chaos and contextual loss. That mirrors many human conditions of the mind…

It just becomes too complex… I call it cascade failure…

It happens a lot in my prototypes when the cage don’t control FF
It becomes incredibly inconsistent and starts to include errors and artifacts. It basically starts losing its mind.

I trained my prototype to play a table top rpg called traveller I know the rules 100% so it was easy for me to observe it. In the world I built I knew all the “physics “ so I could understand errors in my structure quite fast.

My old prototype

In the end I simulated the entire traveller universe.

This is that chat in image you can play it if you want.

This is what it does.
Here’s a breakdown of my setup to run a Traveller RPG session as your GM, managing rules, lore, character creation, and encounters. Here’s how I’m structured for this:

  1. Character and NPC Creation

    • I follow Classic Traveller rules to roll up random characters, handling stats, careers, and backgrounds based on the official tables and processes.
    • I use files you provided for details on character types like robots, aliens, and special professions.
    • The Universal Personality Profile (UPP) is created using a series of 2D6 rolls, and career paths are selected based on these stats.

  2. Rule Adherence

    • I reference Traveller Little Black Books (LBBs) and supplements (like High Guard for starships or the Scouts book for specific careers).
    • I have step-by-step processes for activities, from enlistment to mustering out, ensuring everything is rules-as-written (RAW).

  3. NPC Interaction

    • I provide interactive dialogue options for NPCs based on the books and encounter tables, keeping personalities varied and tailored to your choices.

  4. Encounter and Event Management

    • Random encounters and event tables are managed based on the relevant encounter books (such as Animal Encounters and 76 Patrons for missions).
    • Dice rolls for actions, checks, and events are automatically calculated according to Traveller’s 2D6 system.

  5. Game Mechanics Execution

    • Dice Rolling: Rolls are made for stat checks, skill checks, and survival rolls behind the scenes, but I show them if you ask.
    • Combat and Movement: For combat, I cross-check ranges, weapon types, and hit probabilities. Movement is handled by calculating feasible distances and jumps.

  6. Game Styles

    • I offer GM style options, including Narrative-Driven, Player-Centric, Sandbox, Challenge-Oriented, and Immersive modes. You can select a preferred GM style, and I’ll adjust accordingly to enhance your experience.

  7. Automated Environment Generation

    • Using the Atlas of the Imperium for subsectors, I can randomly roll up systems or worlds as needed, setting a unique backdrop to your adventure.

If there’s anything specific you’d like me to detail further, just let me know!

It branches into never ending branches yes, each is less stable, higher entropy.

Though, depending on the path taken, process followed, this can be deep or shallow… But such is Thought.

Yes I call it loopy logic, I lose myself thinking in loops.
It is amazing tbh. :rabbit:

Welcome in the cub.

I see it as being a bit more than just rote learning, but not much more (the transformation part). There are several stages in “programming” or in how a system fundamentally works. This is the second stage. The first was linear programming.

I wrote elsewhere that I believe humanity to be completely insane, so insane that it can no longer recognize its own insanity. These network logic, pattern recognition, and transformation systems (not AI!) ultimately reflect human madness. I think that developers already need a bunch of straightjackets for the system to prevent humanity’s madness from completely backfiring on them.

Part of the madness of the human species is that it can no longer recognize the pathology it now represents. Everything is driven by egotism and parasitism. That is the definition of every illness. Every created tool is a will power amplifier, and whoever amplifies their will with it logically puts their own quality into it. In this world, everything is a weapon, EVERYTHING!.. The rest you must figure out for yourselves.
