Originally in the beginning of March, GPT 4.5 had a reported 50 message per week limit for Plus users with occasional reported throttles to even lower. Did those limits increase? The official pages doesn’t say anything.
I’m on the pro tier and considering switching down to plus tier since they stopped giving the 128k context window to pro subscribers with new models. GPT 4.5, o3, o4-mini, o4-mini-high has a bit higher context window that the 32k for plus tier which is now a bad deal, considering that while OpenAI suffocating even pro users for $200 / month with ridiculous new limits, Google is giving a 1 million token limit for 20 bucks / month.
o1 and o1 pro had the full 128k context and now the only model is GPT-4o where I can use the 128k but then Gemini is a much better deal… Since 2.5 pro is better and has more context than GPT 4o. Yes, o1 pro is still available but is slow and will go away once o3 pro appears.
Since OpenAI even doubled the plus tier limits for o3, o4-mini and o4-mini-high, now the deal for pro has gotten much worse.
So my question is that what is the current limit for GPT 4.5 and is it weekly or daily or every 3 hours? GPT 4.5 is still very good at a lot of tasks and can give incomparably better answers than o3 outside of what it was trained for. GPT 4.5 is very general, o3 isn’t. o3 being a small model compared to 4.5 shows in a lot of tasks. o3 is unbeatable when it comes to searching the web thought
