OpenAI’s Tibo joins me to break down what’s next for Codex, ultra-fast AI, recursive self-improvement, and the future of personal AI agents. We also get into OpenAI vs. Anthropic, why Codex usage is exploding, and how AI could soon work faster than humans can keep up with… Huge thanks to Tibo for joining me! Tibo (@thsottiaux) / X

The part of the conversation that interested me the most was the future of human–AI interaction. Matthew’s question touched on something I’ve been thinking about for a while: what happens when an AI can truly see and hear us at the same time? Human communication contains an enormous amount of information beyond words themselves; facial expressions, pauses, gestures, eye contact, posture, tone of voice… As AI becomes increasingly capable of reading our nonverbal communication, it may begin to understand what we mean even before we fully put it into words. For me, that’s where the future of human–AI interaction becomes especially interesting. And perhaps the reverse will happen too: AI may develop richer ways of communicating back to us beyond text and voice.
Btw, I love having Codex and ChatGPT integrated into the same app. ![]()
