What to Expect

This session will dive into how AI-assisted development is evolving: from simple autocompletion to managing entire projects with agentic workflows. Romain and Aaron will share live demos and tips on:

  • Breaking down complex projects using Codex
  • Workflows for managing real-world development challenges
  • Moving from writing every line to orchestrating systems
  • Turning ideas into robust, working systems with structured prompting

Aaron—who recently demoed his workflow at Dev Day—will walk through practical, multi-step project approaches live.

Why “Vibe Engineering”?

It’s a term (coined by Simon Willison) for building software with LLMs—moving past hunches to real software craftsmanship, with engineers using AI to speed up and strengthen their work. The goal is acceleration and augmentation, not replacing solid engineering judgment.

Note: you will not be able to proceed to this “how to use ChatGPT” session without a working login to the “other” forum. You also will not even be able to read the terms of creating such a login, as they are all on a non-public Google Docs. You will not be able to edit any profile details without filling out every field, such as supplying a full name, picture, your location, your professional domain and aspects about your career, your interests in AI, then all shared publicly with all other “forum” members. You will not have access to any professional networking areas without invitation. You will not be able to log in or even enter a password, or ever hear anything back from the admin through the contact channels about account issues if they decide they haven’t gathered enough personal information and block you. You then won’t be able to manage being automatically added to mailing lists by having provided your information to that site.
