Urgent Business Workspace Billing Failure – Immediate Resolution Required
Hi community team and OpenAI support,
I have been stuck with a ChatGPT Business billing and workspace reactivation issue for over 5 days now, and normal support channels have not resolved it. I am hoping a community admin or OpenAI billing specialist can help escalate this, similar to other cases I have seen posted here.
We are a company based in Nepal with an annual ChatGPT Business subscription. We had 26 licensed seats already paid for. A colleague added one or two additional seats, which triggered a new invoice. The payment for those extra seats failed, and our entire workspace was deactivated — including all 26 previously-paid seats.
What happened :
A colleague added 1–2 extra seats to our existing 26-seat annual Business subscription.
The invoice for those additional seats failed, and was later marked as Void.
Our entire workspace was deactivated , not just the new seats, but all 26 already-paid users were locked out immediately from our company workspace.
Support issued a payment link, but it asks us to repurchase all seats from scratch ,not just pay the outstanding amount of USD 222.51 for the added seats.
We have contacted support multiple times over 5+ days. Each time, we confirm we are ready to pay immediately, but no correct payment link or reissued invoice has been provided.
The payment link support provided does not let us pay only the outstanding balance , it asks us to repurchase seats we have already paid for.
What we need :
Please reissue the invoice of USD 222.51 specifically for the additional seats added to our existing workspace, and provide a direct payment link that charges only that outstanding balance ,not a new purchase flow that asks us to set up the workspace from scratch or repurchase seats we have already paid for.
We fully understand that the outstanding amount needs to be paid, and we are ready to do so right now. We just need the correct mechanism to complete it without losing or repurchasing seats that are already paid for.
We are happy to share our workspace email, account ID, or any other details privately with a moderator or OpenAI team member. Any help escalating this would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.
