I am posting here because I am stuck in an incredibly frustrating loop and need immediate assistance.
Here is what happened:
- I attempted to add more seats to my workspace, but my bank blocked the transaction, so it couldn’t be completed.
- I was unable to cancel the pending transaction on your platform, and then OpenAI automatically deactivated my workspace.
- The system should have simply voided the transaction and not assigned the new seats (which were never even used).
- Instead, I am now completely locked out and need to recover access to the workspace that I have already paid for.
I tried to open a case to speak with a human support agent, but the chatbot is blocking me. It only tells me that the case is “escalated” and that I will be contacted “in the next few days.”
This is completely unacceptable. I cannot be left without access for several days to a service I have already paid for, simply because of an automated error and a failed billing process for extra seats I never even touched.
Can a real human please look into this and restore my access immediately?
Update: Support admits their system canceled my paid annual subscription, still demands I pay twice!
Just when I thought this couldn’t get more frustrating, I received another copy-pasted reply from support.
They explicitly admitted that because the payment for the additional seat failed (which my bank blocked), their automated system canceled my entire existing Business subscription.
Their “solution”? They are still insisting that I must purchase a brand-new subscription and pay again to reactivate my workspaces. They are completely ignoring the fact that I already paid upfront for a full year of service (8 licenses in one workspace, 2 in the other).
They essentially took my money for a 12-month contract, locked me out of my workspaces over a failed transaction for an extra seat I never used, and are now refusing to restore my access or refund the remaining months unless I pay them a second time. I have flat-out told them this is effectively theft and demanded an immediate escalation to a Billing Manager.
Has anyone else dealt with this specific billing flaw? And more importantly, does anyone have tips on how to get past this Tier 1 copy-paste support to reach an actual human manager who can fix this? Case Number: 11324947
