Checking my new billing month and see that, besides my rate limits being changed and aligned with the 20k multiples of the “tier” system of prepay, we have a new running total and new button on the billing overview - where we can give OpenAI money upfront anyway despite our arrears credit line.
I suspect OpenAI will turn up the pressure on monthly users also to keep their bank account filled with unrefundable money. Pressure like dumping accounts onto low-speed models until users fill the coffers.
