There’s a problem with how file uploads are handled. If I attach a file but don’t send it, it still counts toward my file limit, preventing me from sending files later within a given time period. This is frustrating and should not happen—only sent files should count toward the limit.
A specific case where this becomes a major issue is when copying text from Microsoft OneNote. OneNote automatically attaches an image of the copied text when pasting into GPT, even when I only intend to paste the text itself. If I don’t send that attachment, it still counts against my file limit, locking me out from uploading actual needed files for my projects.
Since I frequently use GPT for project work and note-taking, this issue disrupts my workflow. Please adjust the system so that only sent attachments count toward upload restrictions.
