Unable to Add Members to ChatGPT Business Workspace

Has anyone experienced this issue with ChatGPT Business?

I’m currently unable to add new members to my Business workspace.

  • The admin can send the invitation successfully, and the invited user receives the email.
  • The invitation still shows as Pending on the admin side.
  • The invited user logs in with the correct email and clicks “Join workspace.”
  • After clicking it, they are simply redirected back to the normal ChatGPT page, where the account still shows as Free.
  • The Business workspace never appears.

I’ve already tried resending the invitation, testing with another email account that I personally control, using Incognito mode, and trying different browsers, but nothing has worked.

I also checked the Network tab. The /accept-invite request returns 302 Found and redirects to /, but the user is never actually added to the workspace.

Has anyone had the same issue? If so, how did you fix it? Or does this require OpenAI Support to fix something on the backend?

Hi Smith,

I’ve already opened a Support case: #12962281.

However, the issue is taking quite a long time to resolve, and we need the ChatGPT Business workspace to add members so our team can start using it.

Could you please help prioritize or escalate this case and have the team look into it as soon as possible?
