I don’t think I am on the wrong forum, I was considering generative AI and more importantly the concept of ‘Strawberry’ where algorithms further question themselves 15 years ago.
I have always tried to consider ‘the future’ and I expect most developers here have a vested interest in understanding where their developments are heading.
In China I had a job selling tools on Amazon… I wrote algorithms to beat the competition against the likes of http://sellics.com (and won helping to create one of the top tool brands in the UK, US and EU based on statistics and consumer behavior).
Part of my job there was to consider a Two, Five and Ten Year Plan. Algorithms and generative AI was a part of my presentations however it was not really accepted well (except by my boss) as that didn’t meet required employment metrics.
I am not proud in any way of my job… My job kept my visa and gave my children a father…
As a ‘Developer’ with OpenAI (albeit one with no income) my goals are different… As a business developer my job was about fixing problems, for a ‘biased’ business purpose… As an ‘independent’ developer however my goals are completely different… I still want to fix problems… Those problems don’t involve telling Amazon to accept a broken product as their delivery issue knowing that these things are unchecked.
We can ask ChatGPT but I don’t know that a lot of people consider this so maybe it’s not the write ‘person’ to ask… However, just for fun I threw it a question:
Draw a logarithmic curve with worlds most powerful people and an addtional entry for the average OpenAI developer.
Ooops forgot the November cut-off date…
Owch… Elon beat Trump …
So I’m wondering… Are there any ‘real-world’ problems being solved out there that might be relevantly shared here on the community part of the forum?
Who is to say what’s real these days but I saw this video and just wondered…
Is anyone here actually doing something like this?
Isn’t this intelligence we fight for?
Maybe not… Maybe there is some development goals other people see… I’d love to contribute but I don’t know where to go ’
