Why is there no way to disable voice mode on Android? Ive had my phone on do not disturb whilst in college lectures and have accidentally hit the voice mode button (which is same location as the stop generating reply button) and then it jumps into voice mode and interrupts the class.
Disable it in Settings → Personalization → Advanced Settings → Toggle
If not on the Android App. Do it on a Desktop Web Browser and the setting will carry over.
Thanks but there is no option for Advanced Settings in the Personalizationn menu on my Android version of ChatGPT. I’ve gone through all setting menu items and there’s no option to toggle it off.
The option is already turned off on my desktop version.
You are right, I went and got a cheap android tablet to double check. Needed one for testing anyway. The setting you are looking is not in the App. The setting is tied directly to Android OS and you have to look on your version of Android where that is. I found it under Settings → Privacy for the whole OS and under Settings → Apps → ChatGPT just for the App itself. Revoke Microphone access.
