Temporary Chat gets disabled after the second message

Initially the URL is like this “https://chatgpt.com/?temporary-chat=true” then after the first message, it becomes like this “https://chatgpt.com/c/66dc0588-22a4-8003-a899-83972d12d2e0” and the temporary chat is disabled and the chat becomes as if i am using a permanent chat, and if i write a second message i get this “Conversation not found” error, because it’s not on temporary mode and it thinks it’s a permanent chat but it cant access it because it doesn’t exist because initially it was temporary chat.

And if i turn the temporary chat again, i lose the chat, meaning it starts a new chat and i get this URL “https://chatgpt.com/?conversationId=66dc0588-22a4-8003-a899-83972d12d2e0&temporary-chat=true

So something is trying to save the temporary chat as a permanent one for some reason and is disabling the temporary chat

I’m having the very same issue.

Tried different browsers, but apparently doesn’t happen only in the mobile app version.

Same here. I was actually in the middle of a lengthy conversation when it just switched back to a normal chat session. I was concerned because I couldn’t determine how much of my private conversation was exposed, if any at all.

I have also had the same issue started today but works on mobile devices. I’ve contacted support but no response…

Hi,

I’ve raised this with OpenAI, it should get looked into.

Thanks for flagging it.

Same problem! Most of the time i use temp chat now I can’t use it i tried everything

i have the same issue , i also raised with support with no clear response

Same, it got messed up last 2 days. it was all good now the uuid they generate after temporary chat is messing up.

I wonder if it’s a way to get us to upgrade to Enterprise…

Does it work on Enterprise? I’m in the serious need of using Temporary chat right now, so I would upgrade

Hmm, really awesome user experience I’m having right now…

Just wanted to use temporary chat by default, so I bought a higher license, only to find out that it was Team and not Enterprise. I just wasted 70 dollars for nothing. Great :rage:

@vobeee They don’t learn from your data at all on enterprise that’s my understanding anyway, however you need a minimum of 2 users as well.

We are on the 3rd day for this problem!

I have the same problem. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

I am experiencing the exact same issue.

For the past two days, I’ve encountered this recurring error with temporary chats in ChatGPT.

After sending a message and receiving a response, when I try to continue the conversation, I receive a “Conversation Not Found” error.

This makes it impossible to maintain an ongoing dialogue, severely impacting the usability of temporary chats and rendering them unusable.

This is a critical issue because if we cannot use temporary chat, our privacy is compromised, so it needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

Is there any way to contact support?

Hi @mar1os ,

@Foxalabs contacted support. I hope they sort it shortly as well. I’m sure they’ll have an update soon. As a lot of companies do, they’ll most likely only have skeleton support at the weekend so they’ll look at on Monday since it’s only inconvenient and not critical as such.

My main use of gpt is the temporary chat

The exact same issue since Friday (09/06).

Is it that hard to fix! I really don’t know what’s going on

I have repeatedly encountered the same issues and reported them numerous times.
