Suggestion: Improving Arabic Text Support in DALLE

Hello OpenAI Community,

I want to start by expressing my appreciation for the incredible work done by OpenAI in developing tools like DALLE. It’s truly a game-changer in creative design.

As an Arabic-speaking user, I’ve been experimenting with DALLE to create images that include Arabic text. While the tool is excellent overall, I’ve noticed some challenges when generating Arabic text:

Challenges I’ve Encountered:

  1. The font used for Arabic text is often unclear and hard to read.

  2. There’s limited (or no) control over the selection of Arabic font styles (e.g., Naskh, Thuluth).

  3. Text alignment and direction are sometimes incorrect for right-to-left scripts.

Suggestions for Improvement:

  1. Introduce a variety of Arabic fonts to accommodate different design needs.

  2. Enhance alignment and text direction for better support of right-to-left scripts.

  3. Provide text customization options such as size, color, and font style.

I believe that implementing these features would significantly benefit Arabic-speaking users and broaden DALLE’s appeal globally.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. I’m looking forward to seeing how DALLE continues to evolve and improve.

Best regards,
