When you spin off a task, it creates a completely separate thread. This quickly clutters the chat history with multiple identical or highly related titles, making the ultimate task difficult to keep organized. I actually hesitate to overly use the spin-off feature because I know the threads will get lost and be hard to identify.
The Solution:
ChatGPT should automatically group spin-off threads under the parent chat using a mini, collapsible subfolder in the chat list.
This shouldn’t be a complex, manual “Project” folder. It just needs to be automated, contextual nesting so related tasks stay grouped together visually.
