Sora video generation is disabled for new accounts

same here, just trying to test the sora feature, but no options available or time frame to know when a new account is considered “not new”

Same issue here , i Upgraded my Account

Same issue here. Any news ?

@OpenAI_Support we could use some help.

Exact same here. Would love an update as well.

There is a status page for OpenAI that explains why this might be the case.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve been paying OpenAI for a while, but now that I can access Sora, I can’t generate videos. It claims I’m a new account.

OpenAI is great but horrible at clearly defining uses and limits.

Same on this side…Frustrating. And upgrading is not an option for me because its ten times the amount of money…And what if inwould upgrade and then it would be same limitation???

I am having the same problem. I would have not subscribed if a did know this issue before, considering that the subscription is quite expensive in my region…

Same here, super frustrated. how ridiculous. Will be cancelling.

I’m also experiencing this problem. WTH, why can’t we get access to create videos?

I’m yet another one. Upgraded explicitly and solely to use video only which is advertised in the upgrade process, to then be told it’s not available. This is fraud, really

Same here–they could at the very least tell you how long we have to wait before we are considered an old user…

Has there been any update about this? As the plus subscription mentions the video generating option

Still same going. I See anything…

And I have the same problem since some days (plus) - still cannot create videos.

Same here, I created my account a week ago and still not able create video

I paid for a subscription in order to test it. But it says that it is not available for new accounts. Although the GPT account is already several years old

Have the same problem, really convenient to to not give any certain time periods for the fix. Who knows how old the account should be to be considered not “new”. Misleading at best
