Solutions for Having Academic Research Participants Engage Chat GPT - e.g. Qualtrics

Hi folks, hope you’re all doing well! I’m a PhD student looking to simulate some feedback for research participants.

I’m looking for insights on the best tools to use for research participants to engage with AI while completing a survey.

I’ve been integrating ChatGPT responses into Qualtrics,Qualtrics suggests the OpenAI Task feature but that wasn’t working. I got a web service to work with simple questions, but it was n’t returning fast enough**, and participants aren’t seeing real-time outputs.

Has anyone found a smoother setup for embedding AI interactions within surveys, ensuring participants receive immediate AI-generated feedback while responses are captured efficiently?

Would love to hear what tools or workflows have worked for you!

Display an animation that says “Chatbot is writing an answer”… people are used to chats that don’t respond fast from inter human communication.

They are just suspicious about wether the chatbot has a bug and they are waiting infinitely.

The best solution would be a loading bar…
