Seeking Feedback on Piaic/Panaversity Syllabus and Marketing Strategies for AI Freelancing

Hello everyone,

My name is Shahwar Ali Sheikh, and I’m from Pakistan. I’m thrilled to be part of the OpenAI community. Coming from a non-tech background, I’ve been working hard to transition into the tech field, specifically focusing on Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and AI Agents.

I’m currently looking into the Piaic/Panaversity syllabus for the Cloud Native Applied Generative AI Certification program. The program promises to train developers in cutting-edge technologies, including Custom GPTs, AI Agents, Physical AI, and Cloud Native solutions. The syllabus includes a 21-month program covering topics like Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, PyTorch, and even humanoid robotics.

Here are some key points from the syllabus:

  1. Foundation Level (First 3 Quarters):
  • Fundamentals of Generative AI and Prompt Engineering
  • Developing Custom GPTs and Multi-AI Agent Systems
  • Cloud Native AI-Powered Microservices with FastAPI, Postgres, and Kafka
  1. Mastery Level (Next 3 Quarters):
  • Generative AI with PyTorch
  • Fine-Tuning Open-Source LLMs (Llama 3)
  • Advanced Kubernetes and Distributed System Design
  1. Future (Final Quarter):
  • Physical AI and Humanoid Robotics Development

Questions:

  1. Syllabus Authenticity and Relevance: Is this syllabus newly designed and up-to-date with current industry trends? How effective is it in preparing students for real-world applications and freelancing opportunities?
  2. Marketing Skills for Freelancing: Once I acquire these skills, what are the best strategies to market them on freelance platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, or the GPT Store for building Custom GPTs, AI Agents, and more?
  3. General Advice: Any additional tips for someone from a non-tech background to thrive in this rapidly evolving tech landscape?

Thank you in advance for your valuable input. Your feedback will be instrumental in guiding my learning journey and career transition.

Best regards, Shahwar Ali Sheikh
