On August 27, I received an email saying that my application to the Researcher Access Program was accepted and that I had been awarded 5000 USD in API credits. The email said I should contact researcheraccess@openai.com if I did not receive the credits in 3 weeks.
I sent an email on Sep 16 and haven’t received any reply since then. Yesterday, I sent another message, but an automatic reply said that the email alias would be deprecated and that I should contact the support team through the Help button.
But when I sent the inquiry through the Help button, I only received an AI-generated answer, which told me to wait for the credits. No human intervention.
Has anyone had a similar problem? How can I contact the support team responsible for the Researcher Access Program?
Hi, I had the same issue and it never got resolved. We applied to the program in 2024, then in January 2025 OpenAI emailed saying they awarded us 2000 USD, but the credits were never assigned to my organisation account. I wasted two months speaking to bots over the chat and emailing various email addresses. I never received a constructive answer, only corporate boilerplate, and we have not received the credits to this day. Shameful!
