This is intended to be a thread to mention real artists who have created amazing art.
Anyone can share their favorite artists here.
To avoid copyright issues, it’s probably best not to upload images. Just mentioning the name allows anyone to search online and see what they find.
I’d like to open a thread to honor real artists who spend months working on a single picture. I know this isn’t directly AI-related, but since it’s so easy now to generate high-quality images in seconds, I think it’s fair to also remember those who provided the inspiration for these ideas.
If it’s not AI-related enough, feel free to delete the thread.
So, some of the best artists I know:
Kazumasa Uchio: Japanese artist, likes dragons, very detailed. (his work is older then DALL-E) (at the moment, he’s still better than DALL-E, mainly in details and size).
Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell: long time in business and probably everybody know him, body builders and fantasy. (his work is older then DALL-E.)
Tim White: Fantasy, have his book in my collection. He made a pic for a Amiga game i played… (his work is older then DALL-E.)
