Question about publishing a ChatGPT App for SaaS customers

Hello OpenAI Team,

We are building a SaaS product called Okasya, a property management platform for PGs (Paying Guest accommodations) in India.

We plan to integrate it with ChatGPT using the Apps SDK so that property owners can manage their properties through natural language (for example, adding expenses, viewing unpaid rent, approving tenant registrations, and sending rent reminders).

Before we proceed further, we would like to clarify a few points:

  1. If our ChatGPT App is approved and published in the ChatGPT Apps/Plugin directory, can ChatGPT Free and Go users install and use it, or is it limited to specific subscription plans?
  2. Are Apps built with the Apps SDK allowed to perform authenticated write operations (for example, creating records or triggering actions in our backend after the user authorizes the app)?
  3. Are there any fees for publishing or maintaining a public ChatGPT App, apart from our own backend infrastructure costs?

We’d appreciate any guidance or links to the relevant documentation.

Thank you,

Okasya Team
