I’m trying to figure out what happened with my Codex usage and wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.
On August 5, I had reached 0% Codex usage, but I still had one banked reset available that showed approximately 6 days remaining before expiration. I had never manually used the reset.
On August 6/7, the banked reset disappeared. I contacted Support about it and have provided screenshots showing the change.
Then today, August 8, there was another Codex reset for users. However, my Pro subscription also ended today, and my account has already been moved to the Free tier.
One thing I’m wondering about: could Computer Use or some other Codex feature have accidentally consumed or triggered the banked reset? I did use Computer Use/Codex during this period, so I’m wondering if there’s a bug where certain usage is incorrectly being counted against or consuming a banked reset.
The really frustrating part is that if I re-subscribe to Pro today, it doesn’t appear that I’d get today’s reset back. I’d apparently have to wait until around August 12 for the next weekly reset.
So I’m potentially out the banked reset, today’s reset, and part of the next cycle because of whatever happened.
Has anyone else had a banked Codex reset disappear unexpectedly, especially after using Computer Use? Or had their Pro entitlement end earlier than expected today?
I’m mainly trying to determine whether this is an isolated account issue or a broader bug.
