A banked Codex rate-limit reset that was displayed as “available until August 31, 2026” disappeared entirely from the Usage settings page after a Codex app update, before reaching its stated expiration date.
Timeline:

Initially, 3–4 banked resets were visible in Codex Usage settings.

This later reduced to 1 reset, explicitly labeled as valid until August 31, 2026.

After updating the Codex app, the reset disappeared completely — not due to usage or scheduled expiration.
The reset should remain available until its displayed expiration date (Aug 31, 2026), regardless of app updates.
The reset is no longer visible in Usage settings, and no usage was consumed to trigger its removal.
I opened Case 13317840 with OpenAI Support. The agent stated that “no escalation is needed” and that banked resets “cannot be individually reissued.” This appears inconsistent with a very similar case where an identical issue — a Banked Full Reset disappearing before its displayed expiry — was escalated to a support specialist.
Could a moderator or OpenAI staff member confirm whether this is part of the known banked-reset disappearance issue reported in July 2026 threads, and whether Case 13317840 can be linked to the corresponding internal tracking reference?
