I requested plugin development around 6 weeks ago and still have not been approved. I was wondering what the timeline on approval is?

There is no fixed timeline for approvals, they are usually in batches when capacity and load on the human and computational resources allow.
Sounds good, is over six weeks a standard amount of time to wait for?
Hopefully there will be a new batch onboarded soon, I have seen longer waits. Ramping up onboarding and trying to maintain an acceptable level of performance is a large task and things will get better with time and more compute brought online, more people will also help the support situation.
