I am trying to add credits to my balance but i noticed that it needed bank validation (which usually isn’t required for small amounts). It then rejected my payment (and thank god) because, when i tried a second time and payed close attention to the message i received, i think there is an issue with the conversion :
Hi, you will need to enter this on the support bot on help.openai.com (bottom right corner) as the developer forum does not have access to accounts or payment processing.
Thanks for the answer,
The payment didn’t go through. I think it’s a bug this is why i am posting here. Only way to know if someone can reproduce the issue on their end.
Yeah this seems like a bug, that’s almost 100x the actual conversion rate
I’ll make sure this is reported.
Actually, on second thought.
It says 18 USD on the image, so the bug isn’t on OpenAI’s end, it’s your bank
I thought about it too, and i made a payment on a different platform and it seems to have gone through. But you are totally right it might be from the bank too. I will try to reach out to them too.
Yup, your bank is probably using the decimal point as equivalent to the US use of the comma when writing large dollar amounts. So, it’s trying to convert $1800 to Euros.
