Open gpts use at least limited time for non plus user

the idea is to open the use of gpts to normal users, per a limited number of uses for example, so they can try and give feedback, if they like it, they could subscribe for continuous use.

I completely agree. This is a great idea and would dramaticaly increase sales of ChatGPT+.

All GPTs are given access to features only available to ChatGPT+ subscribers, such as DALL-E, GPT-4, Vision, Code interpreter, etc. If they made it accessible to free users, even for a limited amount of time per GPT, everyone would then unsubscribe as they would see no point in having ChatGPT+ since it was free. Now, you brought up the idea of having limited time per GPT. Even if you only gave people 5 messages, what people would do is create hundreds of GPTs that had access to all the abilities and they would just switch between each GPT. There is really no plus for OpenAI; they would just lose money. Even if someone found a GPT they really liked, that would be a couple of people out of the millions that unsubscribed.

5 free interactions per GPT, per account. Granted only to accounts more than one month old to start and active 15 of last 30 days. Easy.

That sounds like an argument against free trials which have a long track record of increasing sales across many businesses/domains. Just because someone else can create multiple Netflix trials to watch for free doesn’t make me want to cancel my subscription.

This is such an obviously good thing for OpenAI, for the free users and for GPT developers. It’s so obvious, OpenAI will not do it.
