I really just need someone to tell me already. Is this the free credits or is it going to bill me? I don’t have a card linked here either
You will be billed and if you don’t have a linked card you could get sued for fraud

When you create a new account OpenAI grants 5$ in free credits that you can use within three months before they expire.
After that you will have to supply credit card details and purchase credits in advance bedore using them.
Everything appears normal with your situation.
Disregard the fraud comment from above.

Ah thanks, it doesn’t really say that they’re free but I also didn’t think a company would start to bill you without credit info. So thanks for the confirmation
If you can spare the five dollars, it does make sense to add your credit card now as you will get better treatment than a free trial customer.
For example your will get access to GPT4 via the API and can send more requests.
