Ongoing 429 errors: Fri 11 2025

I created new keys, added balance $120. None works. It happens out of nowhere. We are at a very crucial milestone of the development process, any help as soon as possible is very much appreciated

Hey, just a thought, are your new API keys definitely tied to the same project/workspace as your billing setup? I’ve seen weird issues when they aren’t properly connected, even with credit showing

Hi Cody, thx for the response. It is def tied to the correct space, and we had been using it (the old key) for last 6 months. New keys in the workspace also don’t work :frowning:

Go here and see your actual credit balance: https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/billing/overview

Ensure the correct organization is selected upper-left.

Then “credit grants” to see the balance remaining of individual payments (as the left number in an example like $4.55/$10.00) and the expiration status.

$120 seems like a very unlikely amount to “add”; that is instead the default monthly limit for a new account.

And in the screenshot: all credits are expired, the last balance expired at the start of this month. You’ve got to pay up again, and not pay more than you’d use in a year.
