OpenAI o1 and o3-mini are now available in the API for developers on usage tiers 1–5.

Use them with:

:card_index_dividers: Structured Outputs
:brain: Reasoning effort

:eyes: And for o1 only, vision.

How about Code Interpreter in Assistants APIs? Is it available yet with these models?

It appears that code interpreter is a “not yet” (if there is a yet to be had). The Assistants playground specifically disallows it, and giving o3-mini a try at setting an assistant up as tools with some tool_resources:

I tested o1 and o3-mini for generating longer responses using Assistant AI, but I encountered a network error and it cancels the response ?

The model comparison page is awesome, but for Tier 4, clicking the link displays a message stating that the model is not available.

I received an email telling me that o1 and o3-mini and o1-mini were now available for my account…but they’re still not available. Anyone able to shed some light?

Do you have more than one Org under your account? If so have you checked that the Org that the email was sent to is the one you are checking?
