How to access o1 and o3-mini models through api?

These models are listed in the model page https://platform.openai.com/docs/models#current-model-aliases

In my playground, I can only see o1-mini and o1-preview, which I have 0 interest in using knowing there are better models available.

Does this mean I need to top up my account to have $100/month to access the o1 models?

You need tier 3 to be elegible, which is having spent $100 all time, not per month.
It is elegible, not automatically. So it will take some time to get o3-mini access afterwards. I think o1 is only for selected users, so not automatic.

O1 I guess since I’m not a heavy user, it’s unlikely gain access for the moment being
