Hey Everyone, first post here. I have a pro account, and keep getting this error message when I try to create a new project “No personal org found for user and none created.” I have no idea what it means or how to resolve it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am also facing this problem. I am not sure if this is a bug. I have tried logging out and in and it didn’t help. After trying repeatedly, it managed to work somehow after like the 5/6th try

Hello there, I was facing the same issue. You need to change the name of your organization. As follow:
Go to https://platform.openai.com/account/organization
Change the name of your org
Try again creating a new project.

This didn’t work for me. I have a Plus plan. Any other suggestions?
I am getting the same error with a Plus account linked to a larger organization. I am able to create a new project, but I cannot add files or instructions.
I’ve the same problem and as a solution I create it from the phone application and then go back website.
Same issue for me as well! As soon as it tries to save the GPT it displays an error due to it not finding a personal org.
I’ve checked in my settings and i have 2 organizations setup.

I started having this error on Personal GPTs as well, after setting up platform.openai.com
This is how I fixed it:
- I navigated to
https://platform.openai.com/settings/profile/user - Change Default Organization to Personal

For some reason a second organization called Personal was created in my profile. Switching to the other as the default and recreating the project fixed the issue for me. It’s a bit unintuitive that the ChatGPT API would be so dependent on OpenAI platform settings.
