Multiple unauthorized users using my chatgpt account

About 1 month back I noticed that all my credits for deep research were gone, and then noticed that there were about 50 conversations in my history in chinese and other languages. I logged out of all devices, changed my password and added 2 factor. Now, I noticed that the suspicious activity is back, including conversations in chinese, arabic, portuguese and polish - with some chats including personal images uploaded to create studio ghblie style animations.
Has anybody experienced a similar situation and have they heard back at all from customer support?

Hi, welcome to the community!

MY ACCOUNT HACKED! Random Chats are appearing on my GPT+ profile - #7 by polepole

Thanks for pointing this out. I am already in contact with support. I am less interested in how to get help, and, as indicated by my question, interested in other user’s experiences to gauge the severity of this issue and whether openAI support is taking it seriously

That doesn’t sound like an OpenAI problem to me. More like your computer got hacked in general.

Unlikely as I have logged out all devices, changed my password and added 2-factor. Nobody apart from me has access to either my pc or my phone which are the only 2 devices that I use chatgpt on.

How does this help when your computer got hijacked e.g. with a rootkit?

Please reach out to help.openai.com and use the support system icon in the bottom right hand corner to inform ChatGPT support about your issue.

Jochen - if somebody had hijacked my computer over 1 month ago, I believe I would have noticed more pressing issues than somebody using my chatgpt account. If that’s okay with you, lets assume this was not the case and move on

Thank you for pointing this out. As mentioned above, I am aware on how to seek help from customer support. I am interested in whether other’s have experienced similar issues and what their responses have been

Nope. Didn’t see any posts like that before. Which makes it very suspicious. Which Operating system do you use? Maybe someone can help you look for rootkits or otehr viruses. Maybe your E-Mail Account was hacked?

That’s what I was thinking

@jochen and Daniel - if someone had acquired access to my email account or my device, this must have happened over 30 days ago and they could do much more lucrative things with that information other than making my chatgpt account available to other users. IN addition, that wouldn’t explain how even after logging out of all devices, changing my PW and activiating 2-factor, I keep seeing these chats showing up. They would need access to more than my email address to make that happen and if that is the case, I should be noticing much more worrying activity related to my device/e-mail by now.
