Metrics for GPTs ("Popular" and "Best")

Starting off a thread to learn about the metrics and analytics the community can use to track the success of, and continually improve, their custom GPTs.

  • What are the standard metrics OpenAI uses to determine which (custom) GPTs are “popular” (most used) and “best” (most useful)?
  • What does the “chat count” metric indicate (number of unique chat sessions, number of unique users, number of messages sent, …)?
  • Is there a way to publicly and independently track the most popular and best GPTs?

All of this is going to become clear once we get the store. I think you’re right about the chat bubble icon though, since I put up my GPTs ive seen an increase in those indicators beyond what I use them for.
