anyone else notice labs.openai website won’t allow access? tries to load but fails. supposed to be up until May 1st
Ah, it’s showing a gatewat time-out for me too. Maybe just wait some time, try a different way of accessing it (different browser, device, account). But i’ve tested here and it’s the same. So mayve just a little bit of time. Hope this doesn’t affect any work you’ve been doing or need to do.
Also, i would like to show you something i’ve learned today, which is the OpenAI Status website, since it can hold some information about it. I even spent some time exploring there and analyzing with my own usage and “daily occurences” and also when a shift happened or people were in a fuzz about something. (If you already know about the website, excuse my redundancy, i just thought it was nice to share.)
thanks! I really hope its back up before May 1st. I did have some work I wasn’t able to save.
I learned about the status website today as well. Says its operational but that obviously is not the case.
Hey folks! We are aware of this issue and we’re working on a fix. We’re keeping the status page updated now: Labs website not loading - OpenAI Status
Thank you for your response! I was wondering if there would be any way to access the DALL-E 2 model after the May 1st deadline?
DALL-E 2 has been persistently available on the API, accessible by code. I cannot say the same about the quality being untouched.
There is no deprecation plan noted.
It can generate 256-1024 pixel square images, and edit them. $0.02 at the largest, and insignificant discount below that (vs $0.13 paid in big credit blocks)
It is a direct access to the model, so advanced user interface, like a canvas to load two images and then infill between them with the square regeneration size, must be built.
Little local UI I’ve been poking at (without commercialization potential) - and the kind of “photo” coming out of DALL-E 2 recently
hey j, thank you for the response! just started using it via the api.
