Is the o1 model missing only for me? (Usage Tier 5)

Hi,

I am a Tier 5 developer and I don’t see o1 in the playground. When I try to call the model through the API I get an error saying I don’t have access or it doesn’t exist. I sent an email but nothing yet…is this just me?

Hi,

I tried to run the provided example code of reasoning with the images lecture of Coursera’s Reasoning with o1 course which uses model o1, I get following error:

NotFoundError: Error code: 404 - {‘error’: {‘message’: ‘The model o1 does not exist or you do not have access to it.’, ‘type’: ‘invalid_request_error’, ‘param’: None, ‘code’: ‘model_not_found’}}

and as per my OpenAI account I guess mu current tier is Usage tier 1

Despite my status, I am not able to access o1 model’s API. When can I expect to get access? Appreciate any advice from OpenAI or other developers. Thank you.

Is the o1 API access still being rolled out? I’m also on tier-5 and do not have access to it yet.

I believe the roll out is gradual, but hope all the Tier 5 can get access soon.

I can acces it via 3rd parties but not via the API itself. Can i get acces? I would rather use it via open ai directly rather then via 3rd parties.

Hi Edwin,

If we could get access as quickly as possible as well that would be very much appreciated, we’re working on a big integration and need this access for it. We’re Tier 5 and have been for a long time.

We’ve tried reaching out via support but I’m fairly sure the replies are LLM-generated, they reference that we “should have access” and such which is nice to hear but not helpful.
