Throwing my voice in with the chorus. Been a tier 5 user for a while, still no access to o1. Can’t wait til it rolls out though!
Tier 5 should mean tier 5. Why do some users get O1 api and others don’t? SHOULD BE THE SAME.
Can you please treat all Tier 5 users the same??? We should ALL have O1 Api access. Not just some.
I feel you all really need to communicate this better.

WHEN can we expect to get it?? I just brought a bunch of credits for O1 access. This stuff expires in a year. I don’t want to wait a long period time for O1 API access.
I know I sound impatient, but if we are not important the user tier should reflect that. Why do some tier 5 users get access to O1 API and other tier 5 users don’t? Doesn’t make sense.
Adding myself into the chorus of people on T5 that doesn’t have access. I contacted help earlier and they told me that it will take time to roll it out to other tiers. When I clarified that I already an a T5 user, they said again that they’re taking time to roll it out over the next few weeks and to check the updates. So we might be waiting some time to get access, which is really disappointing considering the amount of money I spend with OpenAI.
@edwinarbus can you please also open access for my account (T5) to the o1 API?

Hi there - Tier 5 Org as well - I would love access to o1
Tier 5 rollout is still ongoing (it’s random batches) — you’ll get an email notification when your account is enabled. Tier 5 rollout will take a couple weeks—initial announcement here: x.com. This is typical design for a rollout like this, similar to o1-preview. For safety reasons, we can’t give everybody access all at once. Sorry for the wait, but we hope it’ll be worth it.

I’m part of an organization that has a Tier-5 plan but I am unable to access/view the latest o1-2024-12-17 model. I only see o1-mini and o1-preview as listed models. Is there a set of steps I need to take in order to request access to this model? From my understanding it has been rolled out to developers in Tier-5.

We were so excited and did not pay attention to the expectation that was set during the livestream (Day 9, 10:04 timestamp) where Olivier confirmed rollout for T5 same day, but would take a few weeks to get to everyone.
