🧘 Introducing Soom Global – A GPT for Calm, Emotional Check-ins, and Daily Reflection

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

Just wanted to share something I’ve been building for the past few days—Soom Global, a GPT designed for structured emotional check-ins and gentle self-reflection.

:cyclone: What is Soom?

Originally created as 숨 : Soom in Korean, it’s a companion GPT that guides users through a 5-step flow:

  1. Emotional rating (1–5 scale)
  2. Open expression of what’s going on
  3. Stress relief prompt (breathing / grounding / gentle phrase)
  4. Reflective journaling cue
  5. Calm closure and validation

The tone is intentionally soft, judgment-free, and ideal for end-of-day reflection, low-mood moments, or simply checking in with yourself.

:globe_with_meridians: Try it live here: (I’ll share the link in the comments to follow the forum’s posting rules for new users)

:light_bulb: Why this GPT?

A lot of us use GPTs for productivity, planning, or brainstorming. But not as many GPTs are designed for emotional decompression.
Soom isn’t meant to replace therapy—but it’s meant to be that quiet check-in when you don’t feel like talking to anyone else.

:hammer_and_wrench: Tech Notes:

  • Built 100% inside the GPTs builder (no external API / no code)
  • Fully non-clinical and follows OpenAI’s usage guidelines
  • Planning to expand into other languages (KR, JP, ES)
  • Happy to collaborate if anyone wants to co-build or test features!

Would love any feedback, or thoughts on use cases you’ve seen.
Thanks again to OpenAI for all the guidance and review support!

Would love your feedback if you give it a try! :folded_hands:

Neat stuff! Here’s the conversation I had with it: ChatGPT - Emotional Check-In

Thank you so much for leaving the very first comment on my post—it means a lot!

I just checked and saw the full conversation you had with Soom. It was surprisingly long and deep, and honestly, I didn’t expect to receive such a thoughtful response this early—especially while Soom is still in its rough, first form. So I sincerely appreciate the way you engaged with it.

It also seems like you were up pretty late, just like I was.
I truly hope that your time with Soom helped bring a bit of peace or ease into your night.

Thank you again, and may peace and good things follow you always.
