I’m encountering a persistent bug where 16 images remain in my image library, even though I’ve deleted all chats across all devices. I’ve tested this on iOS, iPad, and PC (Edge browser), performed full app reinstalls, and cleared everything — but the issue persists.
It looks like a server-side desynchronization, where image references are not being cleared correctly from my account. I’ve contacted support but haven’t received a response, so I’m posting here to see if someone from OpenAI can help escalate this.
Here are all the details:
I’ve tried the following steps with no success:
• Manual deletion of all existing chats.
• Logged out and performed a full reinstall of the app (iOS updated to the latest version).
• Tested across multiple devices (iPad and PC using Microsoft Edge).
• Created new chats, deleted them again, and cleared local app data.
The issue persists, which strongly suggests a server-side synchronization error, possibly involving residual metadata from images that should no longer exist.
As a professional who also manages client accounts, I value efficient support with technical depth. Therefore, I kindly request that this ticket be escalated to a team with backend access, as this issue clearly cannot be resolved on the user side.

Same problem here. Deleted chats, dead thumbnails keep showing, no way to clear library.

Esta propuesta ofrece una solución simple pero poderosa: una interfaz donde los usuarios pueden administrar directamente las imágenes cargadas o generadas dentro de ChatGPT (Sora). Esta funcionalidad permitiría a los usuarios:
• Eliminar imágenes independientemente del historial de chat.
• Filtra las imágenes por tipo (generadas, cargadas, compartidas) y por fecha.
• Alternar la visibilidad de la imagen (por ejemplo, ocultar sin eliminar).
• Elimina permanentemente las imágenes fantasma, eliminan
eta visual y lógica de implementación para apoyar esta idea.
