Does anyone know why I can’t get the results in the same aspect ratio as the reference image when I’m using the gpt-imagen? No matter what original aspect ratio the original image is it’ll always generate a squared one…
Hi, welcome to the community!
Try this prompt format:
prompt: YOUR PROMPT HERE
size: 1024x1536 / 1536x1024 / 1024x1024
n:1
transparent_background: false/true
quality: high/medium/low
Thanks so much for your prompt reply!
I quickly tested it by nominating the exact resolution and it worked! I had previously tried with different prompts, including keeping the aspect ratio, horizontal, exactly the same, etc. without mentioning the resolution - all failed…
Does it mean that for whatever reason only by mentioning resolution does it trigger the effect? I’m used to how it works with images in Midjourney (both – for discord days and now built in tickables on the webpage application) for example so is there any guide with the latest Imagen function in ChatGPT to be aware of how to effectively generate images as intended?
ImageGen does not have parameters like Midjourney has.
I tried several methods. However, I say wide or tall image, but it creates square generally.
Lastly, I saw its instruction it shows how it uses the script when it work with image_gen
tool.
Now, I use the method I provided above. It works well for now.
This is how effect when I mention high / medium / low.
This is my experience, not from an official docs.
HIGH
MEDIUM
LOW
I collected here some information in my custom GPT.
