I will be 64 years of age in April of this year. I do not know how to write code. I have used ChatGPT as a research tool, when I have questions around areas, such as setting up a small cannabis grow tent and creating the right soil and grow environment. I live in the state of Ohio, USA. Cannabis is legal, both recreationally and medically, and I use it for medical purposes. If this language is not acceptable here, I apologize, and will not use it again. I have utilized chatGPT to ask questions concerning welding with an inverter welder. Questions around building and building materials. It helped me to create a formula to determine the various pressures on a retaining wall that I built on our property. I like to use my hands and just make things. Is this the place for me? If not, and if there is a space that is more geared toward the layman, can I please be pointed in that direction, and thank you very much.

Yes, absolutely.
ChatGPT is a wonderful help getting started in a field, and this forum should help ground you in prompting it and keeping up-to-date with it’s current quirks.
Your level of experience is irrelevant

I agree partially with @anon10827405. You don’t need to be a coder, but you should have the intention to become one.
If you want to do that we can guide you to a point where to start, how to utilize chatgpt to create code, how to run programs.
And I am also interested in pictures of the plants

OpenAI’s coders don’t hang out here either, so you’ll fit right in.
Thank you all very much! I’ll think about coding. I will post pics of the plants when they begin to flower next week.
